Mental Health Break
I took the week off. I've been off work since last Friday and don't go back until next Tuesday! I'm calling it a "mental health break" one I desperately need from work. When I go back all hell will break loose as we have a huge countrywide sales meeting in Las Vegas that we are planning. Approximately 900 people attend. It will be busy from the day I return to February 6th when the meeting begins. Everything will be about the meeting.
I consider today to be the real first day off, relaxation-wise, as the days leading up to Christmas were quite hectic.
So it's 7:30 a.m. I just made a cup of tea. I'll pick out my favorite Christmas cookie from the batch and will call that breakfast. I'm going to take the next 2 hours off and watch a DVD. First on the list this weeks is Ocean's 12. I loved Ocean's 11 but never saw Ocean's 12 as I heard mixed reviews, but I saw the DVD at my sister's yesterday and asked to borrow it. So that is how I will start my day.

The Aftermath
Woke up, opened presents, made a nice breakfast, recapped the gifts from the evening before, the kid went back to bed. The beau went home to let the dog out. (See dog's tail - wags so hard she cuts it open and bleeds, hence the tape, which is over gauze! Grammy (sitting) calls her beaver tail because its all flattened out!) I'm blogging, but should be cleaning up the mess! Will go to my sister's for a nice prime rib dinner this afternoon. The fun continues.

Three Wishes HNT (#14)
To: Red Neck Nerd Boy:
A self-proclaimed computer nerd. I wish him to have an evening having dinner with Bill Gates (to get their “nerd” on) and discuss all the worldly tekkie things they could possibly discuss. Who knows what other opportunities could derive from that evening.
To Seamus:
Whose love of canine is so great, which I truly understand, that his pup is the center of his blog and topic of postings bringing obvious joy to his life. (That’s why they call it man’s best friend!). So I wish him a customized pooch house for those nice, lazy, warm days in the sun to lounge outside in class because that pooch deserves the best! (model dog pictured and not the handsome deserving creature Taylor. Please note the house pictured is a deluxe dog abode!)
Happy Holidays to everyone - may you be blessed this Holiday Season!

My kid laying in the grass on a warm Autumn Day.
Now Winter is upon us.
The warmness from the ground extracted by the cold.
Happy Half Nekkid Thursday!

Tag! 6 New Weird Things About Me.
"THE RULES: Each player of this game starts with the '6 weird things about you.' People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says 'you are tagged' in their comments and tell them to read your blog."
1. I like the covers up to my ears, even when it's warm out.
2. I sometimes nod off in the movie theatre, if the movie doesn't catch my interest right in the beginning. I've done this at the theatre (plays) as well. My daughter knows she is to "give me the elbow" if my head bobs or I snore.
3. I absolutely cannot change a baby's diaper now that I'm WAY past that stage - I gag. If it's not mine (baby - blood related) I'm not going their.
4. Sometimes get so silly I cry and laugh at the same time uncontrollably. This usually happens with my sister or my kid. One of us might say something to render all of us unrecognizable where others are looking at us like we're....weird.
5. I've had a strong urge to adopt these past three weeks. I don't really have the means to do this and not sure what has brought this about except that I've seen a lot of stories of (school age) children needing families on T.V. lately and it breaks my heart. Weird because I'm at a different time and place in my life to want to be doing this.
6. I have to look in the mirror on a daily basis to see if an eyebrow hair needs plucking. It's routine since I was very young. No stray hairs allowed. Every morning, magnified mirror, pluck if necessary, even if the hair is a microscopic growth that only I can see.
If you're reading this and want to be tagged, go on and take a chance and play and feel free to use my name as the one who tagged you!
I've already done this earlier so I'm not going to retag people as we've been through the process already just a week or so ago. But in the spirit of FUN I listed 6 new weird things about me. Enjoy !
The cutest thing I heard today...
...my daughter told me that her girlfriend Sarah 's grandmother text messages her (Sarah) during the day while she's at school to say "I love you. God loves you. Don't do drugs."
Cute, sweet, funny - they're sophmores in high school. Love that grandma.
My daughter told my mother this on the weekend. My mother asked my daughter to teach her how to text message. :)

Just getting in the mood....
...for Christmas!
Listening to a recording of Dean Martin and Martina McBride singing "Baby, It's Cold Outside."
Just ordered my first Christmas gift...online...for my kid of course! UGGs. see image
Next on my list is brewing a cup of java and then I will go through the boxes in the basement and begin to decorate.
My daughter and my niece have a date today to watch Christmas movies and listen to Christmas music.
I've been reading all your blogs and everyone is getting IN THE MOOD and luckily for me, it has forced me to get in the mood.
